I AM Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the key to healing, especially self-forgiveness. Dealing with depression, forgiveness will be one of the first steps you will need to take to heal. Depending on your circumstance the people you are going to have to forgive may vary, but there is one person you will definitely have to forgive.......YOURSELF.

Forgiving yourself is very important to healing, it was very important to me. After acknowledging I was suffering from depression and anxiety and accepting my illness.....I had to forgive myself. I blamed myself a lot for having depression and anxiety as if i made myself have it, so I had to forgive myself. I didn't love myself, so I had to forgive myself. I talked down and beat myself up, so I had to forgive myself. I also had to forgive myself for the people I hurt because I was hurting.

After going through the process of forgiving myself, I had to forgive others......

I had to forgive the people in my life that didn't know or understand what I was going through. People who walked away from me when i was hurting and crying out. What I feel i didn't get or learn during my childhood from my parents......and so on.

Lao Tzu said, "If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present."

While suffering from depression I focused a lot of my energy in the past and the reason for that was because I hadn't forgiven myself and others. I couldn't let go of all the pain I held onto. I kept trying to open that locked door to healing without a key. That key was forgiveness and it allowed me to heal and establish a better relationship with myself and in some cases the people I forgave in the process. That forgiveness allowed me to finally live in the present and find peace. I AM Healed and Forgiveness was the key!

Blessings,
